Whether the Joe the plumber is a liar or misinterpreted makes absolutely no difference. The biggest point now is that Obama wants to redistribute wealth! That was never the intention of our tax system and is completely bastardizing it into a socialist system.
Principles matter. The conservative principles of republic government that protects its citizens from physical harm, supports the infrastructure for free commerce so that they can enjoy the success of their labor and risk-taking (as well as deal with the failure), and protects state rights as separate from the fed's are as important today as they were 150 years ago after the Civil War. That's all the South ever wanted and that's all we all need today.
Socialism always has and always will devolve to more wastefulness and ineffectiveness. Just because conservatives don't agree that socialism (redistribution of wealth) is the right solution, doesn't mean we don't care about "the poor." The poor we will always have with us. It just means that we believe that charity is most effective when it is dispensed at the local level by small private groups and individuals that can judge from close up what is necessary. Unfortunately, our Big Brother feds have taken that role on themselves and their solution to correcting their own ineffectiveness is to take more money and hand out more money.
Why do you think it is that every time the economy slows, EVERYONE, including democrats, start talking about giving out rebates? It is because the citizens do a much more effective job of stimulating the economy than the government can. Why not just let ALL of us keep more of it instead of confiscating more and more until we start to hurt and then decide who "deserves" some of it back?

What to expect - "The Plan"
My intention is to first layout the conservative principles by which we should judge the actions of our government and individual elected officials and the role of government in our republic. I will discuss the differences in a true republic and a democracy and why the republic should remain, or be reborn as, our foundation. This is very illustrative of the difference in Republicans and Democrats.
Next, I plan to comment of policies and actions held to the standards and principles I define in the above noted postings. I hope it stimulates conversation that will help the next generation learn to succinctly articulate the "why" and the importance of their conservative beliefs in order to bring more of them into the light of our cause.
Finally, I will have a lot of unrelated postings about whatever else impacts my world or catches my attention.
Stay tuned and jump in with your 2 cents worth. Remember, FOS: Use It!

Freedom Of Speech: Use It!
Just as it has been said that a man who does not read has no more advantage than a man who can not read; a man who does not speak out for what he believes has no more advantage than a man who can not speak out. We must exercise our freedoms because so many have sacrificed so much for them. One of the biggest given to us by our founding fathers is freedom of speech (FOS). I am my kids dad and I am setting the example for them. Speak out kids! We've taught you how to learn and how to think and how to speak. Now exercise your writing and thinking for the world to see.
In politics remember, we are Christians first, conservatives second, and Republicans last. With those principles in mind, this blog will launch.
